QR Code

To set up a host that doesn’t have a Pro Custodibus agent on it, you can access the QR code containing the configuration for each of its WireGuard interfaces in the Pro Custodibus UI. This QR code will include the current settings for the interface, as well as any queued changes.

You can use a WireGuard app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device to scan the QR code, which will automatically set up the interface on the app.

To access the QR code for an interface, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Hosts link in the app header.

  2. Find the host containing the interface in the list, and click its name to view the host’s main status page.

  3. Find the interface in the Interfaces panel, and click its name to view the interface’s main status page.

  4. Click the “QR code” icon on the right side of the Interface panel.

Scan this QR code with the device’s camera when prompted by the WireGuard app. You can also download the code (or print it out) for use later.

If the QR code appears too small, click it to view the full-size version.

The WireGuard app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device will not accept the QR code if the private key for the interface is not stored by Pro Custodibus; or if the interface has any endpoints with a preshared key not stored by Pro Custodibus.

Additionally, the app will not accept the QR code if any of the following interface settings are used:

  • Firewall Mark

  • Table

  • Pre Up Script

  • Post Up Script

  • Pre Down Script

  • Post Down Script

  • Save Configuration
